Title: Best Place to get a (Name) Stamp
Post by: Josh Blythe on April 22, 2008, 16:16:49 PM
Just thought I would throw this out there and see if there are any reply's. I am living in Naha area and I need to buy a name stamp and get it all certified. Any way I am looking for somewhere to buy it; Speed, price, and locations would be helpful. If there is another post of this then I apologize. Thanks for the help!

Howdy stranger,

We just got a new name stamp or as they say in Japan 'hanko' or 'inkan', so I think I can help you out. The place your looking for is in Kumoji on 58.  I believe you can find it here (http://diddlefinger.com/?ll=26.215101,127.678041&z=17&t=m). This (http://www.hanko21.info/kumoji/shop_img_b3.jpg) is what the store looks like.

I think you can get one for about 3000 yen, it depends on how long your name is though. If your name is too long you might have to get a more expensive one, think about 5000 yen for five characters. It takes about a day, no big deal.

Hope that helps,

John

That place worked great. It was approx. 4,500 yen due to name length. They did have a great turn around too, I could have actually picked it up the same day if I wanted to. If anyone else is looking I definitely recommend this place.
