Where's the best place to withdraw money from an overseas account in Japan?

When I first arrived in Japan in 2001, I had no idea how to get money out of my American bank account. I didn't have a special international card, but I assumed that I would be able to get money somewhere. This proved to be quite a mistakes as I spent several days being broke before I was able to solve my predicament.

Hi all,

Just a thought, but maybe a new category or two?

Moving To Okinawa

Which I think is self explanetory, and how about a category for , help, suggestions etc, for members to ask the Admin in an open way for things.

Good idea.

I'll open up a few more categories.

I'm open for any suggestions anyone has. Also, right now I'm working on expanding the site somewhat. Hopefully I'll have a more fully featured site up in a week or so.
