When we come to Japan, most of us leave behind friends and family. Unfortunately, we often get caught up with our lives in Japan, and our old friends get put on the back burner. Today, I'd like to take a look at a few ways that have helped me keep in touch with my people back home.

Hello,

First, let me say congratulations on becoming a grandmother!  Smiley

You don't know the name of the hospital do you? Without that, I can't help you much.  Undecided     What kind of information are you looking for? If you could post the name, I think I could find something out for you.

Are you planning on coming to Okinawa to visit and see your new grandchild?!

John

PS I made your question into a new topic.

Maybe this is the appropriate place and topic for this question.

I read in the news that a woman died in Japan recently because she spent two hours in an ambulance looking for a hospital that wasn't full. The report said that there is a shortage of doctors in-country. Is this the case in Okinawa?
