How can we maintain our relationships with friends back home?

When we come to Japan, most of us leave behind friends and family. Unfortunately, we often get caught up with our lives in Japan, and our old friends get put on the back burner. Today, I'd like to take a look at a few ways that have helped me keep in touch with my people back home.

Hello all my name is Paul and I live here in Okinawa.  I happened across this board while doing a little research and saw it is a small community looking to grow.

I hope that I can be of assistance to those looking for information about life and living here in Okinawa.

Cheers! Grin

Hi,

Welcome to the board. It sounds like you've been living here quite a while! Thanks for dropping by and helping people out. When I first moved here, it was really difficult to find information about living Okinawa.

By the way, whereabouts do you live in Okinawa? I'm in Naha.

Yonbaru, great! I've only been up there a few times, but I really enjoy it. A few months ago I took a drive down the Okuni Rindo. That was a lot of fun. I'd like to move farther north, but the work is down south, unfortunately.

lol. Now I read it and it's obvious. I guess you gotta be careful when you post right after getting up. Well... I'm embarrassed now. hahaha

Yonabaru, it's right down the street. I don't get down there much though.
