 Sunset Beach is a artificial beach located behind Mihama America Village in Chatan. It's a very large beach with lots of places to relax both on the sand and in the shade. There is also a posting of the day's best sunset viewing time, if you're going to try to catch a glimple of the beach's namesake.
The overall quality of the water was fairly low the day I was there. It didn't have that clean, untouched feel that more remote beaches often have. However, if you're looking for a fun beach in the Chatan area with lots of room.
